Hopefully, most of the questions that you have can be answered here and point you in the right direction.     What is Freemasonry?  Freemasonry is one of the worlds oldest fraternal societies. Freemasonry is a society of men concerned with moral and spiritual values. Its members are taught its precepts by a series of ritual dramas, which follow ancient forms and use stonemasons’ customs and tools as allagorical guides. What are the qualifications for membership?  The main qualification for membership is a belief in a supreme being. Membership is open to men of all race and religion who are of good repute and at least 18 years of age. Is Freemasonry a religion?  No, it is not a religion. Freemasonry expects the person to continue on their own path of whatever religion they follow. Religion and politics are strictly forbidden to be talked about at regular communications. What is the first step in joining a lodge?  Well, the first step in becoming a member of a lodge is to contact a lodge officer or current member. The petition will give the members of the lodge information on who you are and where you are from. At this point, you will be contacted by some members of the lodge to do a initial meet and greet. When you meet with this member, you should be able to receive a multitude of information on your next steps. Is there a financial obligation to be a Freemason?  The short answer is yes.
